.Both my parents were successful business owners; they inspired me to start mine a year ago by believing in my abilities and showing me the way. I try to do the same for others.

.My first entrepreneurial effort was selling “Irish Ice” (the Irish version of Italian Ice) at the age of ten with my younger brother, Chris. Though the venture lasted only a day, my love of frozen treats will live on forever.

.I became a coach because of my love for helping others; what I didn’t appreciate is just how much the process would give to me. With each new client I become a better person.

.I think the characteristic that most determines an individual’s potential for success is her/his attitude.

.My middle name is Grace. After a lifetime of not liking the name, I was enlightened this year that it was more than a name; it is a calling regarding a way to live.

.My nickname as a child was “Kissy;” I got it for blowing kisses at my dad when I was a baby.

.At the age of 40, I was selected for a volunteer job (facilitator for youth group) because the youth thought my shoes were cool. I never felt younger or hipper than at that moment.

.My life partner, Elisa Glick, and I met through a personal ad. It was the first ad I’d ever placed and the first she’d ever answered. Sixteen years later we’re batting 1,000!

.I practiced law for fifteen years in Boston. Ask me how I liked being the only female partner out of 14 male partners and I’ll tell you about the benefits of a diverse workplace.

.I work hard to practice what I preach. My favorite ways to relax and renew include: meditating, eating Sparky’s mint chip ice cream, reading (I’m currently enjoying “True Compass”), hiking with our faithful canine, Jessie, and listening to music by the fire.
